A magnetic reward system: bought by an adult, used by a child

The buyer is a parent or a teacher. The person who’ll actually use it is seven. The listing has to convince the first that it’s worth something, and show the second something they’d want to touch.

What had to be right

The magnets legible up close. They’re small illustrated pieces, and at thumbnail size they turn into blobs of colour unless the detail holds.

Where it goes. A magnet makes no sense without a surface: fridge, whiteboard, locker. Without context the buyer can’t tell if it works in their kitchen or their classroom.

Real dimensions. Small pieces and children’s hands — you have to show the size or the parent doesn’t buy.

The use, with an actual child. That’s what separates an educational product from a bag of magnets.

What we shot and built

  • Clean listing images of the set and of the individual pieces, for the main gallery.
  • Frames in use at home and in the classroom, with children and with adults.
  • Infographics of the behaviours and achievements the system can reward — that’s the selling argument for the adult.
  • A step-by-step usage diagram and the dimensions of the pieces.
  • Product cards laid out ready for the marketplace.

What the brand got

The full listing from one production: product, context in two environments, educational infographics and cards ready to upload. A product sold to an adult by showing a child using it.
